PRODUCT
Britex NC putty is a quick drying easy to apply filler for wood as well as metal substrates. The product is available in semi-transparent form with excellent filling & sanding property for wood. It is used as wood grain filler & applied over bare wood before sanding sealer application. Another variety of NC putty available for metal substrate primarily used in the Automotive repair system.

RECOMMENDED USE
Natural wood or wood substitutes like plywood, particle board, veneer. The product is most suitable for use with Nitrocellulose paints but can be used with AC lacquer & 2 Pack PU (interior) system

STORAGE & HANDLING
Storage & Disposal Store in cool, dry condition keeping container tightly closed in accordance with petroleum (mixture) order, SRO 1929 No 993. & dispose by controlled land fill as per requirement of statutory authority. Don’t empty into drains,
sewers or other water courses.
Flash Point : Below 20oC,Highly flammable.
Shelf Life : Upto 12 months in closed condition
SURFACE PREPARATION & APPLICATION
Ensure wood is dry, clean & free from contaminants. Sand the surface with a coarse Emery (180) along the direction of grains. Dust off the surface & apply a coat of Britex N.C. Putty with putty knife, allow it to dry & sand the surface with Emery paper 180 followed by Emery paper no 320 for smooth finish before application of Sanding sealer & Topcoat. Britex N.C. Putty is tintable with Britex stain to achieve wood’s actual color or any pastel tint. Not advised to match deep color using wood stain.
Product’s high solid formula ensures single coat application for desired result.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS & FIRST AID
- Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls, goggles, dust mask and gloves. Use a barrier cream.
- Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied. Do not breathe vapor or spray.
- This product is flammable. Keep away from sources of ignition. Do not smoke. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. In case of fire, blanket flames with foam, carbon-dioxide or dry chemicals.
- Eyes & Skin: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with warm water & wash skin with mild soap and seek quick medical advice. Never use solvent for cleaning the affected areas.
- Inhalation & Ingestion: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar. Don’t induce vomiting.
