Product

A two pack epoxy primer for concrete floor. The product penetrates deep into the surface over which it is applied & seals the voids eliminating entrapped air or moisture. It also acts as an adhesion promoter for subsequent coats of floor coating system hence referred as bonding primer.

Surface Preparation & Application

Newly plastered surfaces should be allowed to cure for at least 28 days. The surface shall be adequately cleaned and dusted off. All rust, dirt, scales, mortar droppings, and grease should be thoroughly removed. Cracks and other surface damages should be repaired and cured before the application. Surfaces should be cleaned before repainting. Apply one coat of Britex Epoxy Concrete Primer at 40 microns DFT (Dry Film Thickness) followed by 2 coats of Britex Epoxy Floor Coating ( 60 microns each ). For anti-skidding applications aggregates of desired size should be spread soon after the application of first coat of Britex Epoxy Floor Coating.

Storage & Handling

Storage & Disposal : Store in cool, dry condition. & dispose by controlled land fill as per requirement of statutory authority. Don’t empty into drains, sewers or other water courses. Avoid part use from the Hardener pack & never keep the lid of hardener pack open.Avoid part use of the Hardener.It is filled in stoichiometric quantity                                                                     Shelf Life : Upto 12 months under sealed condition.

Safety Precautions & First Aid
  • Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls, goggles, dust mask and gloves. Use a barrier cream.
  • Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the area where the product is being applied. Do not breathe vapor or spray.
  • This product is flammable. Keep away from sources of ignition. Do not smoke. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. In case of fire, blanket flames with foam, carbon-dioxide or dry chemicals.
  • Eyes & Skin: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with warm water & wash skin with mild soap and seek quick medical advice. Never use solvent for cleaning the affected areas.
  • Inhalation & Ingestion: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar. Don’t induce
  • vomiting.
